The Winona High School girls volleyball team posted a 3-1 win over Houston High School last Thursday in improving to 1-1 on the young season.
The Lady Tigers won the first set 25-20, and Houston took the second set 25-23. Winona won the third and fourth sets, 25-20 and 25-15.
Winona, which played at Houston Monday and hosted Eupora Tuesday, goes to Ethel High School Thursday and hosts J.Z. George Aug. 19.

The Lady Jaguars opened their season Tuesday with a doubleheader at Water Valley High School. The gym floor at J.Z. George is still being worked on, so home games are being delayed for now.
