The Winona Police Department swiftly responded to reports of gunfire at 400 Montgomery Street in Winona on the night of March 28. This led to the arrest of 26-year-old D’Angelo Deunta Jobe, of Cruger. Jobe stands with one charge of Aggravated Domestic Violence and one charge of Aggravated Assault following the altercation.
Upon their arrival at the scene, WPD officers spoke with two Winona residents involved in a domestic dispute with Jobe. The situation escalated dramatically when Jobe brandished a weapon, firing shots in the direction of the two residents before fleeing.
Thanks to the prompt response of law enforcement and the collaborative efforts of the WPD, the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Department, and the Carroll County Sheriff’s Department, Jobe was apprehended without incident around 2 a.m. on March 29. He is presently detained at the Carroll/Montgomery County Regional Correctional Facility.
