The Tigers got their tennis season going on Feb. 13 at Eupora, dropping a 7-0 decision.
In girls’ singles, Molly Tompkins lost her match 6-0, 6-0, and in boys singles, Gunner Wilkes lost 6-0, 6-0. In No. 1 girls’ doubles, Lana Branch and Janey Beth McRae lost their match 6-1, 6-1. In No. 2 girls’ doubles, Lillian Jones and Marlee Wilkes lost 6-0, 6-0.
In No. 1 boys’ doubles, Jordan Leech and Kirven McCrory put up a fight by winning the first set 7-5 but losing the second and third sets, 6-2, 10-5. In No. 2 boys’ doubles, Eric Boone and Javien Jackson lost 6-4, 7-6, and in mixed doubles, Emma Marshall and Jemarius Sanders fell 6-4, 6-4.
Winona, which hosted Kosciusko Monday and Leake Central Tuesday, plays at Senatobia Thursday.
