After losing eight straight games, the Winona Christian Stars bounced back last week and took two out three games from Oak Hill.
The Stars lost 13-7 in game 1 of the series but bounced back and won the next two games 9-6 and 14-2.
Winona Christian improved to 5-13 on the season and will play Lee Academy on Tuesday as they take a break from district play.
Oak Hill 13, Winona Christian 7
The Raiders scored 11 runs in the first inning and held on to take a six-run win over the Stars.
Despite falling behind 11-1 early, Winona Christian responded with single runs in the second and third and two runs in the fourth and fifth.
The Stars outhit the Raiders 13-5 as Hunter Land was 4-for-5 with two RBIs while Zach Bledsoe was 2-for-4 with a double. Austin Horne was 2-for-3 with two RBIs while Will Irwin and Brannon Hill each had two singles.
Cale Sproles started on the mound and got just two outs, giving up 10 unearned runs on three hits and four walks. Irwin pitched three innings and gave up three runs on two hits and six walks while striking out five. Bledsoe pitched the final 2 1/3 inns and struck out six.
Winona Christian 9, Oak Hill 6
The Stars took a much-needed win over the Raiders on Thursday.
Winona scored one in the first, five in the third and one in the fourth and led 6-0. Each team scored two in the sixth while Oak Hill scored four in the seventh.
Winona outhit Oak Hill 9-7 in the contest. Jase Osborne was 2-for-3 with a run scored while Luke Beckwith was also 2-for-3. Hunter Land homered and drove in four runs while Brannon Hill homered and drove in three runs. Zach Bledsoe singled and scored three runs while Will Irwin also scored two runs.
Austin Horne pitched all seven innings and gave up six runs on seven hits and three walks while striking out eight.
Winona Christian 14, Oak Hill 2
The Stars overcame an early deficit and scored the last 14 runs of the game to take a four-inning, run-rule win over the Raiders on Friday to take the series win.
Oak Hill scored two in the first while Winona scored three in the first and third while finishing with eight in the fourth.
Winona had 10 hits in the contest as Austin Horne was 2-for-2 with three RBIs. Will Irwin was 2-for-3 with a solo home run and Brannon Hill was 2-for-2. Luke Beckwith hit a grand slam home run while Jace Osborne doubled and drove in three runs.
Zach Bledsoe started on the mound and pitched four innings and gave up two runs on three hits and struck out six to pick up the win.
