On Friday, February 21, 2025, Carroll County Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to County Road 272 in reference to a shots fired call. Upon investigation, deputies found that both a vehicle that was parked in the yard and the occupied residence were both struck by bullets.
The suspect was quickly identified as 19-year-old, Bishop Logan III of Greenwood. Carroll County Deputies and Winona Police Department officers apprehended the suspect in Winona. During the arrest, officers discovered approximately a half pound of marijuana to be in his possession.
Carroll County authorities charged Logan with Drive-by Shooting. Judge Ronnie Hicks set his bond at $10,000.00 on that charge. Winona authorities are charging Bishop with Possession of Controlled Substance (Marijuana) with Intent to Distribute. He is currently housed at CCRCF and awaits an initial appearance on the Winona charge.
Sheriff Walker said, “We are certainly thanking the Lord that no one was injured at the residence where the shooting happened. I appreciate the cooperation and assistance that Winona Police Department provided to help bring this to a quick and safe resolution. Good cooperation among neighboring agencies makes a huge difference in bringing these matters to a fast closure.”
