Winona Christian’s struggles on the football field continued Friday night.
Canton used three second-quarter touchdowns to pull away early and took a 28-7 win over the Stars on Senior night.
Winona Christian falls to 2-8 on the season and will host Delta Streets in the first round of the Class 3A playoffs on Friday night.

Stars shine in victory

A season’s worth of frustration came pouring out on Friday night for the Winona Christian Stars.
The Stars scored the game’s first 28 points and used a stingy defense to take a 56-28 win over Delta Streets on Friday night.
The Stars are now 2-5 overall and will host Marshall on Friday night in a non-district contest.

WCS prepares for ‘big’ Delta Streets team

The Winona Christian football team played one of its best games of the season on Friday night.
Unfortunately, so did Central Holmes.
The Trojans used a stingy defense and took a hard-fought 24-6 win over the Stars on Friday night in a district contest.
Winona Christian will return to action this week as they host Delta Streets.
