Winona man jailed for stalking teenager

--A Winona man will serve 30 days in jail for stalking a Carrollton teen while she was shopping in Dollar Tree on Sunday.
Dexter Robinson was been charged with stalking. Robinson also faced charges of public drunkenness and trespassing for a separate matter.

Vaiden takes steps to re-establish PD

The Vaiden Board of Aldermen approved to adopt their budget for the fiscal year 2023. The biggest addition to the budget is a $159,000 increase to the Vaiden Police Department’s line item. Since taking office back in 2021, Mayor Stella Washington-Bell and the Board of Aldermen have worked to try and re-establish their police department.

Lott: First year has gone well.

Kilmichael mayor Bryan Lott is in his first year as mayor. Lott was elected in 2021 succeeding longtime mayor Bobby Howell. Before becoming mayor, Lott served as an alderman for the town. He said its different going from sitting around the table to presiding at the head of the table.
