Last Saturday here in Carroll County, we had the “Community Appreciation and Gathering of Remembrance and Hope Program” for the anniversary of the March 2023 tornado that hit this area.

Planning Important for The Future

This past Monday during the Carroll County Board of Supervisors meeting at the Carrollton Courthouse, I presented the National Incident Management System (NIMS) compliance certification statement. This agreement was voted on by the Board of Supervisors and is a vital document for our county.

MML Scholarship beneficial for future leaders

This past Tuesday morning I met with educators at J.Z. George High School about the 2024 Mississippi Municipal League Scholarship Program and left the applications at the school. We will be coordinating with the Carroll County School District in offering the scholarship this year.

Daylight Savings Time Began Last Sunday

Here we are heading toward spring of 2024. Daylight savings time began last Sunday, March 10 at 2 a.m. With the changing of the seasons, it will be bringing more spring like temperatures and longer days. With Daylight Savings Time, the clocks were set up one hour. Sunrise and sunset were about one hour later beginning last Sunday.
