Mississippi Highway Patrol Public Affairs division recently reported that citations during the 2022-2023 holiday travel period went down by nearly half their numbers from the previous year.
In a statement, MHP reported 8,037 total citations statewide for the 2022-2023 holiday week, while the previous year’s number was 14,792.
