Winona baseball was shut out by Region 5-3A leader Southeast Lauderdale 10-0, leaving the Tigers in third place in the region with a 2-3 record.
Winona was held to four hits, two by Blake Cooper and one each by Garrett Ables and Dre Bays in a six inning game. Dakota Boney had 12 strikeouts for Southeast Lauderdale and Zach Flaskamp and Johnathan Polk each homered.
The game was scoreless through three innings before Southeast Lauderdale erupted for eight runs in the fourth and added one each in the fifth and sixth.
Winona had a region game scheduled with Morton Tuesday. The Tigers have a home region game with Forest Friday and will be at Winston Academy Saturday. The final region game is scheduled for April 16 with Choctaw Central.
The top four teams will advance to the 3A playoffs against teams from Region 6, beginning April 19.
