Winona Tigers improve to 6-1 on season

Winona was strong on offense, but not so much on defense, in its Region 3-3A opener, posting a 56-40 victory over host Coahoma Early College.

“We're not very good on defense,” said coach Joey Tompkins. We're not tackling very well. We have to find some answers on that side of the ball.”
