The game was scoreless until Bruce scored once in the fifth, then added two in the sixth for a 3-0 lead.

Winona cut the deficit to 3-1 with a run in the sixth. MyCala Helms led off the seventh with a single and scored on a double by Allyn-Claire Gant. A single by Sara O’Bryant plated Gant with the tying run. O’Bryant went to third on a single by Abria Weathersby and scored the winning run on a grounder by Tyra Weathersby.
