Winona senior quarterback An'Darius Coffey has been named Offensive Player of the Year on the MHSAA 3A All-State team. Teammate Robert McMath was named to the second team as a wide receiver.
Coffey passed for 2,314 yards and 25 touchdowns and ran for 1,788 yards and 25 touchdown, leading the Tigers to an 8-4 record and the 3A playoffs.
McMath, a junior, was Coffey's primary target with 72 receptions for 1,053 yards and 14 TDs.
Coffey was also named Offensive MVP on the Region 3-3A all star team.
Six other Tigers were named to the region's Super 22 Team. They are McMath, senior wide receiver, Adavion Hargrove, offensive linemen, Anthony Richardson, a senior, and Devonne Bays, a junior, senior placekicker, Cade Eldridge and junior Dadarian Small, chosen as an athlete.
An additional six were named to the first team – junior offensive lineman Cohlton Triplett, senior linebackers Seimeon Flowers, Tayshaun Pointer and Dorian Curry, sophomore defensive back Dennis Turner and senior defensive lineman Saveon Gross.
Winona finished second behind Amanda Elzy in the region with a 3-1 record.
