The Winona Christian tennis team opened the season with a pair of wins, both in district play.
The Stars beat Oak Hill 5-4 and Marshall 6-3 and are 2-0 on the season.
Winona will return to action this week as they take on Oak Hill and Eupora.
Winona Christian 5, Oak Hill 4
The Stars took a close win over Oak Hill in a district contest.
The Stars won both girls singles matches as Allie Rawles won 6-3, 6-0 at the No. 1 spot while Sara Burden White won 6-2, 6-3 at the No. 2 slot.
In girls doubles, Hope Farmer and Rana Paige Davis lost 6-3, 7-6 in a tight match at the No. 1 spot while Swayze Morquedt and Piper Davis won 6-4, 7-6 at the No. 2 spot.
In boys singles, Oak Hill took both of the points as Graycen Easterland lost 6-0, 6-0 at the No. 1 spot while Charles Raines lost 6-0, 6-0 at the No. 2 spot.
In boys doubles, Eli Lewis and David Mason Beck lost 6-0, 6-0 at the No. 1 spot while Deuce Mooneyham and Braden Stanford won 6-3, 6-0 at the No. 2 spot.
In mixed doubles, Logan Graham and Bella Roberts won 7-5, 6-3 to secure the team victory.

The Stars opened the season with a three-point win over Marshall in another district contest.
