The Winona baseball team had its best offensive game of the season in the opener of a doubleheader during Spring Break. Hagen Ware led a 12-hit attack in a 13-7 victory over Calhoun Academy with a double, two singles and four RBIs.
Dalton Ferguson and Jacob Myers each had a single and double, Blake Cooper singled twice and Mitch Stewart doubled with three RBIs.
Calhoun Academy won the nightcap 14-4. The Tigers had seven hits, led by Stewart, who was 3 for 3 with two RBIs. Ferguson had two hits and an RBI and Ware had a double and scored a run.
Taylor Barfield and Ja'mes Alexander had the Tigers' only two hits and each drove in a run in a 4-3 loss to Pelahatchie.
