The basketball seasons came to an end for both Carroll Academy and Winona Christian last week.
The Lady Rebels of Carroll lost a 34-33 heartbreaker to Tri-County while the Rebels lost 49-40 to Greenville Christian in the North AA Tournament.
Winona Christian also ended its season with a 56-38 loss to Manchester.
Greenville Christian boys 49, Carroll 30
The Rebels struggled from the field as Greenville Christian took a 19-point win in the opening round of the North AA Tournament last week.
Greenville led 6-4 at the end of the first and then outscored Carroll 9-4 in the second to lead 15-8 at the half. Greenville put the game away in the second half as they outscored Carroll 10-0 in the third to lead 25-8 going to the fourth. Carroll finally got going in the fourth but Greenville was able to outscore them 24-22 to take the win.
Reese Fulton led Carroll with 15 points and eight rebounds. Logan Taylor and Austin Smith each had eight points apiece.
Tri-County girls 34, Carroll 33
The Carroll girls saw their season come to an end in the opening round of the North AA Tournament last week.
The Lady Rebels led early as they outscored Tri-County 13-9 in the first and led 20-15 at the half. But point guard Belle Sanders suffered a first-half knee injury while allowed Tri-County to outscore the Lady Rebels 9-3 in the third and take a 24-23 lead at the half. Each team scored 10 points in the fourth period for the final margin.
Gracie Turner led Carroll with 10 points and 10 rebounds. Dru Chamblee, who came off the bench to play point guard when Sanders when down, scored eight points and had five steals. Mary Jordan Milton also had five rebounds.
Manchester girls 56, Winona Christian 38
The Lady Stars season came to an end in the first round of the North AA Tournament last week.
