Sydney Claire Liddell, a former Carroll Academy standout and sophomore member of the Northwest Mississippi Community College Lady Rangers basketball team, has been chosen as an MACJC All Star. Liddell, a 5’ 8” guard for the Lady Rangers, averaged 4.5 points and 4 rebounds per game this season. Her best game this year was against the Baton Rouge Bears, where she scored 10 points. She also racked up 11 rebounds against Cohoma Community College.
“Liddell is undersized, but you would never know it on the court,” said Troy Howell, NWMCC assistant girls basketball coach. “She has definitely been a workhorse for us this season, and we are going to hate to lose her.”
The MACJC All Star game will feature sophomore players from two-year colleges around the state and will be held on Friday, April 12 at 5 p.m., in Brackeen-Wood Gymnasium on the ECCC campus in Decatur.
She is the daughter of Jeromy and Tanya Liddell of Carrollton.
