The Carroll Academy Lady Rebels won one of three contests last week on the softball diamond.
Carroll dropped a 13-2 decision to Pillow on Monday before taking a 3-2 win over Hebron on Tuesday. They finished the week with a 9-3 loss to Washington.
Carroll is set to open district play on Monday as they travel to Indianola and will host Central Holmes on Tuesday.
Washington 9, Carroll 3
The Lady Generals jumped out to an early lead and held on for a six-run win on Monday.
Washington led 6-0 after two innings while Carroll scored two in the fourth and one in the fifth to cut the lead to 6-3. But Washington scored three in the top of the seventh for the final margin.
Washington outhit Carroll 11-5 while the Lady Rebels struck out 16 times. Mary Braxton Cobb was 2-for-3 while Kaitlyn Chamblee singled and drove in two runs. Bella Carter doubled and drove in a run. Mari Brynn Reeves walked three times while Kaylee Ferguson walked twice. Peyton Perry and Reeves each had two stolen bases.
Perry pitched all seven innings, striking out nine.
Carroll 3, Hebron 2
The Lady Rebels scored a single run in the bottom of the sixth to take a one-run win over the Lady Eagles on Tuesday.
Hebron scored single runs in the top of the fourth and fifth while Carroll scored two in the fourth.
Carroll outhit Hebron 7-6 in the contest. Kaitlyn Chamblee was 2-for-3 with two triples and two RBIs. Peyton Perry was 2-for-3 with a double and one RBI. Meri Brynn Reeves doubled and scored twice while Lexie McClain and Mary Braxton Cobb each singled.
Perry pitched all seven innings and gave up two runs on six hits and two walks while striking out 10.
Pillow 13, Carroll 2
The Lady Mustangs outhit the Lady Rebels 17-6 and took a run-rule win over the Lady Rebels on Friday.
Pillow scored two runs in the first, fourth and fifth innings while scoring seven in the third. Carroll scored one in the third and fifth innings.
Carroll had six hits with Meri Brynn Reeves with a double. Bella Carter singled and scored a run. Kaylee Ferguson singled and drove in a run while Presley Woods, Mary Braxton Cobb and Helen Claire Cobb also had singles.
