The J.Z. George cross-country team will run again today (Thursday) at Winona High School as the team continues its fine tuning for the state meet in early November.
The Jaguars and Lady Jaguars competed in a meet last Thursday at Winona. For the boys, senior Chris Rias was the top finisher as he placed 34th in a time of 22:52.81.
Kevin Favela placed 51st overall with a time of 26:08.48, and Jeterrion Reaves was 62nd with a time of 28:32.71.
Jonquavian Green came in 67th overall with a time of 29:39.05, and Jordan Cobbins was 68th in a time of 29:39.74.
For the Lady Jaguars, Daveonna Catron was 28th in a time of 32:16.14, and Kamiya Williams came in 30th with a time of 32:28.52. Aniya Williams was 35th in 34:44.14, and Zamya Fleming was 38th in 35:42.52.
Sharrissa Gladness and Jniesha Cobbins came in 40th and 41st, respectively, in 35:43.99 and 36:54.11. Trinity McCaskill was 43rd in 37:11.65, and Janiya Hoover was 44th in 37:13.46. Denijah Walls was 45th in 38:32.24, and Dekeria Walls was 47th in 39:02.92.
