J.Z. George's girls and boys basketball teams will close out the week with games Friday at McAdams High School.
The home game against Kosciusko has been rescheduled for Jan. 11.
The Lady Jags and Jaguars were scheduled to play at Charleston High School Tuesday, but those games were postponed because of the inclement weather.
In games from last week, both teams went 0-2 against Philadelphia at the East Webster Shootout Friday in Maben and at Kosciusko on Dec. 3.
Against Philadelphia, the Jaguars came up a bit short in their bid to knock off the Tornadoes as they dropped a 60-58 decision to fall to 3-7 overall.
Philadelphia jumped out to a 19-8 lead after the first quarter, but the Jags cut into the deficit with a 14-10 run in the second period to trail 29-22 at the half. The Tornadoes led 49-36 after the third period as J.Z. George mounted a rally in the fourth with a 22-11 outburst.
Malik Branch led the Jaguars with 16 points. Keldrick Glover hit for 15, and Jordun Normal had 11 points.
In the girls game, Philadelphia beat the Lady Jags 72-41 as it led 22-8 after one, 38-18 at the half and 47-28 after the third frame.
Tashanda Fleming had 17 to pace the Lady Jags (2-8). Jasmine Newman had 11, and Jakyla Winters finished with six.
Kosciusko High School took a pair of games from visiting J.Z. George as the Lady Whippets won 68-53 as they led 21-10 after one, 39-30 at the half and 55-39 after the third.
Fleming and Newman had 15 points each for the Lady Jaguars, and Winters had 10 points. Natijah Basin finished with five points.
In the boys game, Kosciusko came out on top 63-36 as it led 14-10 after one, 32-19 at the half and 52-26 after the third frame.
Branch had 20, and Normal 12 for the Jaguars.
