The Carroll Academy Lady Rebels suffered two more losses this week, falling to Winona Christian School 9-3 and Indianola 10-0.
Carroll will take on Oak Hill today and then host the North AAA Tournament on Saturday and Monday. Brackets will be released later in the week.
Two weeks ago in the Carroll Tournament, the Lady Rebels lost 10-1 to Leake, 7-4 to Bayou and 19-0 to Central Holmes.
Winona Christian 9, Carroll 3
The Lady Rebels got down 6-0 and were unable to overcome the deficit in a Monday loss to Winona Christian.
After falling behind 6-0, Carroll scored two in the third as Sara Austin Welch, Kaitlyn Chamblee and Helen Cobb all reached on errors.
In the sixth, Presley Woods singled and Peyton Perry reached on a single and later scored on a groundout by Katie Lauren Clark.
Sandi Tackett and Meri Brynn Reeves also had singles for Carroll.
Perry got the start and pitched all seven innings and gave up nine runs with seven being unearned on eight hits and two walks and two strikeouts.
Indianola 10, Carroll 0
The game was tight for five innings until Indianola exploded for eight runs in the sixth inning to win by the run rule on Tuesday.
Indianola scored one in the second and fifth and before scoring eight in the sixth to take the win.
Indianola only had for hits but took advantage of 11 errors by Carroll.
Kaylee Ferguson pitched 5 1/3 innings and gave up only three hits and three walks and all of her runs were unearned.
Carroll had singles by Sandy Tackett, Meri Brynn Reeves, Helen Cobb and Katie Lauren Clark.
