Steven Helms and Michael Cox have swapped coaching assignments at Winona. After 19 years coaching slow-pitch and fast-pitch softball, Helms is stepping down and will be an assistant baseball coach.

Presley helps coach all-star hoops team

Winona boys basketball coach Presley Coleman was one of the coaches at the Northeast Mississippi Basketball Coaches Association all-star game for 3A-6A schools held last Saturday at Booneville High School.

It didn’t take Winona’s An’Darius Coffey long to make up his mind about where he wanted to play college football.

Coffey went to Ole Miss’ football camp this two weeks ago and the Rebels offered him a scholarship on June 2. Coffey then visited the school with his mother last Wednesday and made his commitment official later that day.
