According to a recent press release several Mississippi County Health Departments are hosting special walk-in clinics for back-to-school immunizations. These clinics will feature additional nursing staff to provide required vaccinations efficiently, allowing parents to complete the process quickly.
Parents should bring their child's immunization record if available.
Mississippi law requires immunizations for children entering school for the first time and for 7th-grade entry. Parents must provide schools with a Certificate of Immunization Compliance (Form 121) before enrollment.
The following walk-in immunization clinics will be held for our area:
Carroll County will host clinics on July 18 and 25 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at 7225 Hwy. 17 in North Carrollton. Montgomery County will offer clinics on July 19 and 26 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 707 Alberta Dr. in Winona.
Form 121 can be obtained from your child's immunization provider or through MSDH's MyIR service. MyIR allows parents to check records online and print or download Form 121 for school submission. For more information on MyIR, visit msdh.ms.gov/MyIR
