The Carroll Academy baseball team picked up two more wins this past week.
Carroll opened the week with a 9-6 win over Deer Creek on Tuesday and then thumped Delta 13-1 on Friday.
Carroll is scheduled to play at Washington on Thursday in a doubleheader.
Carroll 9, Deer Creek 6
The Rebels scored five runs in the bottom of the sixth and took a three-run win over the Warriors on Tuesday.
Carroll led 4-2 after four innings before Deer Creek tied the game up at 4-4 headed to the bottom of the sixth. Carroll then scored five runs and took a 9-4 lead. Deer Creek scored two in the bottom of the seventh to take the win.
Carroll had eight hits in the contest, led by Reed Thomas, who was 3-for-4 with two runs scored while Hayes White was 2-for-4 with a double, home run, two runs scored and two RBIs. Reid Blaylock also had a double for the Rebels.
Blaylock started on the mound and pitched four innings, giving up three runs on two hits and two walks while striking out three. Reed Thomas pitched the last three innings and gave up three runs on five hits while striking out five to pick up the win.
Carroll 13, Delta 1
The Rebels scored 12 runs in the first two innings and took a four-inning, run-rule win on Friday.
Carroll scored five in the first, seven in the second and one in the fourth.
Carroll had 10 hits and drew 10 walks in the contest as Hayes White was 2-fr-2 with a double and four RBIs. Reid Blaylock was 2-for-3 with two runs scored while Reece Jordan, Rhett Blaylock and Nick White each singled and drove in two runs.
White started on the mound and pitched one inning while Parker Daves pitched two innings to pick up the win. C.J. McDonald pitched the last inning for the Rebels.
