City Attorney Adam Kirk announced in a Duck Hill City Hall meeting on Monday night that the previously reported natural gas expansion petition was approved by the Public Service Commission.
“I have not received anything official from them yet,” said Kirk, “but Sam Mabry, who is the department head of the gas section of the Public Service Commission, emailed me and said that ‘everything is set, y’all are good to go.’”
“The only issue is we’ve got it now,” Kirk continued. “Now we’ve got to maintain it.”
Kirk stated that the new areas Duck Hill has been approved to provide gas for will be provided with a gas line that runs along the road or street of the properties, but property owners will have to pay to get personal lines connected to the main gas line.
