A graveside service for Mr. Paul Wayne Oliver of Montrose, Ark., formerly of Vaiden, was held at 1 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 17, at Michie Cemetery near Vaiden. The Rev. John Lumbley officiated the service.
Mr. Oliver, 63, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 14, 2025, at Vaiden Community Living Center. He was born in Vaiden to William Clair and Mary Lou King Oliver on April 12, 1961. He was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church. He enjoyed being outdoors, gardening and listening to music. He deeply loved and cherished his family. He was a retired skidder operator having logged for most of his career.
He is survived by his daughters, Felicia Steele (Wendell) of Ind. and Stephanie Oliver of Okla.; son, Christopher Oliver (Cydnee) of Montrose, Ark.; sister, Judy Cuomo of Vaiden; brother, Mike Oliver of Vaiden; three grandchildren, Isabella Oliver, Wyatt Oliver, and Victoria Oliver; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Linda Gibson and Rita Parker.
