Funeral services for Mrs. Willie Mae Cohea Milam of Winona were at noon on Wednesday, February 7, in the Oliver Funeral Home Chapel in Winona, with burial following in the Winona Garden of Memory. Rev. Sam Riddell officiated the services.
Visitation was Wednesday, from 10 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
Mrs. Milam, 95, died at Winona Manor in Winona on Sunday, February 4. She was born in Calhoun County on April 23, 1922, to Adley and Lula Powell Cohea. She was a retired retail employee of Fred's Discount Store and also ran a Clarion Ledger paper route for over 20
years. Mrs. Milam was devoted to her family and always put them first. In her spare time, she enjoyed embroidery.
Mrs. Milam was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Keith Tansil Milam; daughter, Dorothy Louise Hickman Read; and her siblings, Talford Cohea, Lorene Cohea Jones, Lima Cohea Higginbottom, Adley Cohea Jr., and Katie Lou Cohea.
Survivors include her daughter, Lula Milam Randle and her husband, Larry, of Winona; five grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Clyatt Strickland, George Frank Carwile, Maurice Ferguson, Bobby Beckwith, Jayme Key, and Rudone Goldman.
