Funeral services for Mr. Wayne Lindley, 66, of Winona will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 12, at the Winona Church of God, with burial following in the church cemetery. Rev. Saxton Odom and Rev. Shelly Scallions officiated the services.
Pallbearers were Logan Lindley, Corey Lindley, Ricky Smith, Stacy Smith, Bryan Holmes, and Chance Amason. Honorary pallbearers were Dr. DeWayne Gammel and Bro. Jim McLaughlin.
Visitation was Thursday, Jan. 11, from 4-7 p.m., at Oliver Funeral Home; and on Friday, Jan. 12, from 1 p.m until service time, at the church.
Mr. Lindley, a retired furniture salesman, died at OCH Regional Medical Center in Starkville on Tuesday, Jan. 9. He was born in Charleston on Aug. 21, 1951. He was a member of the Winona Church of God and enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family.
Mr. Lindley was preceded in death by his father, James Arvle Lindley; and two brothers, Jerome Lindley and Jamie Lindley.
Mr. Lindley is survived by his daughters, Cheri Nelson of Henderson, Tenn., and Candi Miller of Lebanon, Tenn.; his son, Jeff Lindley (Audi) of Grenada; his mother, Leona Bell Meeks of Winona; sister, Shirley Smith (Chester) of Winona; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; his best friend, Frank Rhine Jr.; and several nieces and nephews.
