Funeral services for Vicie Lee Griffin of Vaiden wre held on Saturday, March 24, 2018, at 3 p.m. in the Lizzie Sanders Memorial Chapel with Rev. Jessie Sawyer officiating. Burial followed in Bennett Chapel Cemetery in Black Hawk.
Visitation was held from 1 p.m. until 6 p.m. on Friday, February 23 at Sanders and Sanders Funeral Home and from 1:30 p.m. until service time on Saturday. There was no viewing after the eulogy.
A homemaker, Griffin, 65, died on Monday, March 19, 2018, at Greenwood Leflore Hospital in Greenwood. She was preceded in death by her husband Homer Griffin, Sr.
She is survived by her daughters, Dorothy Givens, Annie Fullilove, Mary Griffin, Sara Griffin, all of Vaiden, Malinda Amos of Colia, and Bessie Peterson of Black Hawk; her son, Homer Griffin, Jr., of Lexington; 26 grandchildren and 40 great-grandchildren.
Sanders and Sanders Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
