Funeral services for Tommy Wayne Leonard of French Camp were held on Thursday, January 18, at 2 p.m. at Bethsaida Baptist Church near French Camp, with burial following in the church cemetery. Rev. Dale Strickland and Rev. Alex Lawson officiated the service. Pallbearers were Ricky Dees, Lee Howard, Connor Nail, Travis Grice, Justin Leonard, and Jonathon Leonard. Honorary pallbearers were Jason Howard, Prentiss Pullen, and John Armstrong.
Visitation was Wednesday, January 17, from 4:00 until 7 p.m.at Oliver Funeral Home.
Mr. Leonard, 57, passed away at his home on Monday, January 15, 2018. He was born to Christine and James G. Leonard on May 31, 1960, in
Attala County. He worked as a millwright in Ackerman and an owner of a convenient store in French Camp. He was a member of Covenant Baptist Church near French Camp and loved hunting, fishing, spending time on the coast, and was an avid sports fan. Mr. Leonard was preceded in death by his father and his first wife, Patricia Martin Leonard.
He is survived by his wife, Angela Michelle Howard Leonard; mother, Christine Leonard; sons, Bo Edward Leonard and Dustin Autry; sister,
Deloys Leonard Fields and husband, Lee; brothers, Ralph Leonard and wife, Minna, and Travis Leonard and wife, Angie; and a host of nieces,
nephews, great-nieces and nephews.
