Tommy Lee Jones, 58, of Carrollton died Monday, January 28, 2019, at Greenwood Leflore Hospital. Services will be 2 p.m. on Thursday, January 31, 2019, at Williams & Lord Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 12 p.m. until service time. Rev. Joseph Sansing will officiate. Burial will be in Mt. Olive Baptist Church Cemetery in Coila. Williams & Lord Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Jones was born October 12, 1960, in Indianola to George P. Jones and Betty Dunn Jones. He was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church. He was an avid fisherman and hunter. He loved animals and was devoted to his two pet dogs, Rocky and Butch. He was preceded in death by a brother, Phil Jones, and his mother, Betty Dunn Jones.
Mr. Jones is survived by his wife, Patricia Carithers Jones of Carrollton; four daughters, Brandy Jones Coppock and husband Nathan of McCarley, Brittany Jones Ingram and husband Lance of Fairmount, Ga., Kelly Vance White and husband Trey of Carrollton, Kim Vance Stainton and husband Shane of Chatsworth, Ga.; son, Bobby Vance of Carrollton; father, George P. Jones of Odendille, Ala.; brother, Mike Jones and wife Pam of Benton, Ark.; sister, Tammie Jones Cooper and husband Jeff of Saucier; and 11 grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Austin Coppock, Dillon Coppock, Trey Vance, Randy Moss, Sean Jones, and Shane Stainton. Honorary pallbearers will be grandsons, Hayes White, Nick White, Brady Stainton, Lance Ingram, Jr., and friend, Jimmy Harris.
