Sharyn Nicole Jones, 38, of Carrollton, MS, died Sunday, December 16, 2018 at her residence. Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Monday, December 17, 2018 at William Springs Church of God Cemetery in Stewart, MS. Visitation will be 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday, December 17, 2018 at Williams & Lord Funeral Home. Rev. Keith Davis and Rev. Michael Mooneyham will officiate. Williams & Lord Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Sharyn was born to John Smith and Wanda Williams Smith on May 24, 1980 in Greenwood. She was a graduate of Maranatha Academy and was a 2013 graduate of Mississippi Delta Community College in Moorhead, where she received her associate’s degree in nursing. She was employed at Riverview Nursing and Rehab in Greenwood. She loved caring for her patients, bicycling, and being with her family, friends and cooking.
Sharyn is survived by her parents, John and Wanda Smith of Teoc, and William Jones, Sr. and wife, Geraldine of Sidon; daughter, Airrin Metz and husband, Zach of Greenwood; sister, Melissa Metz and husband, Joey of Teoc; brothers, William “B.J.” Jones and wife, Tina of Carrollton, and Christopher Jones of Martin, Tenn.; grandson, John Clayton Metz of Greenwood; six nephews and two nieces.
Pallbearers will be Hunter Wilson, Brent Wilson, Dakota Metz, Lee Williams, Trey Evans, and Woody Thomas.
