Sharon Elaine Carpenter Carter 61, of Horn Lake and formerly of Carrollton died Sunday, July 22, 2018, at her residence. Visitation was from noon until 2 p.m. Friday, July 27, 2018 at Wilson & Knight Funeral Home in Greenwood. Graveside service was 2:30 p.m. Friday, July 27, 2018 at Enon United Methodist Church Cemetery in Carroll County. Rev. Keith Ramage officiated.
Mrs. Carter was born February 18, 1957 to Jiles Thomas Carpenter and Mary Gladis Potts Carpenter. She took care of her family through her life.
She is survived by her husband, Paul Carter of Horn Lake; daughter, Shelley Shankle Schalk of Horn Lake; son, Donald Joe Shankle, Jr. of Omaha, Nebraska; sister, Janet Carpenter Potts of and mother Mary Carpenter both of Carrollton and two grandchildren.
