Sam Brister Mullins, Jr., 53, of Greenwood died Wednesday, May 9, 2018 at University Medical Center in Jackson.
Services were at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 12, 2018, at Abundant Life Pentecostal Church of God. Visitation were from 11 a.m. until service time at the church. Rev. James Woodall and Rev. Bernard Wiggins officiated. Burial was in Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church Cemetery in Carroll County. Williams and Lord Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
He was born January 27, 1965 in Mendenhall to Sam Brister Mullins, Sr. and Christine Jones Mullins. He attended Greenwood High School and lived in the Greenwood area most of his life. He retired from Coca-Cola, Inc. in 2015 and was a member of the Abundant Life Pentecostal Church of God in Greenwood, MS.
He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Angie Rickles Mullins of Greenwood; two sons, Joshua Mullins and wife Shelbi of Greenwood, and Troy Miller of Greenwood; five sisters, Crystal Gentry and husband Joe of Greenwood, Stella Hammons and husband Larry of Carrollton, Debbie Casiday and husband Tim of Carrollton, Betty Barrentine and husband Mike of Greenwood, and Sue Hooker and husband Glen of Horn Lake; mother, Christine Mullins Campbell of Greenwood; and two grandchildren, Cory Mullins and Addlyn Mullins
Pallbearers were Tim Casiday, Jr., Michael Barrentine, David Casiday, Troy Miller, Randy Martin, Mitch Barrentine, Ben Chamblee, and Joe Gentry, Sr.
Honorary pallbearers were Jaydon Chrismond and Levi Smith.
