Robert Charles Clark, Sr. 74, of Greenwood, MS, died Thursday, January 30, 2020 at his residence. Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Williams & Lord Funeral Home, with visitation from 9:30 a.m. until service time. Burial will be in Odd Fellows East Cemetery. Rev. David Bartlett will officiate.
Mr. Clark was born March 28, 1945 to Charles Lilburn Miller and Illaine Leisure Miller in Kokomo, Indiana. He served in the United States Navy where he was a Navy Seal. He was a member of the Salvation Army and he served as a minister. He enjoyed helping others through Alcoholic Anonymous. He was devoted to his family and loved to sing and dance to country music. He loved gospel music and was a farmer.
He is survived by his daughters, Angelitta Dempsey of Greenwood, MS, Casse Busby of Greenwood, MS, Autumn Clark of Texas, Rhonda Clark of Kokomo, IN, and Monica Till of Kokomo, IN; three sons, LeShane Clark of Greenwood, MS, Shawn Clark of Greenwood, MS, and Robert Charles Clark, Jr. of Charleston, SC; and twenty-seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be LeShane Clark, Shawn Clark, Jeffrey Busby, Billy Dempsey, Zack Story, and Jamie Thweatt. Honorary pallbearer will be Billy Dempsey, Jr.
Military honors will be conducted by Kessler-Hamrick-Gillespie American Legion Post 29.
