R.C. Muirhead, 89, of Sidon, died Friday, March 6, 2020 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. Graveside services were 2 p.m. Wednesday at Vaiden Cemetery in Carroll County and visitation began at noon until 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Williams & Lord Funeral Home in Greenwood. Rev. David Bartlett officiated.
He was born June 26, 1930 in Vaiden to Robert Jefferson Muirhead and Clara Taylor Muirhead. He was a welder at S & N Sprayer before retiring. He was of the Baptist faith.
He is survived by three sons, Douglas Muirhead, Jerry Muirhead (Suzy) of Sidon, MS, and Kenny Muirhead all of Sidon; two daughters, Elaine Light of Memphis, Tenn., and Carolyn Herrington (Tony) of Warner Robbins, Ga.; seven grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
