Nellie Mims Woolard, 86, of Greenwood, Miss., died Saturday, May 20, 2023, at Bolivar Medical Center in Cleveland, Miss. Graveside services was at 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 24, 2023, in Malmaison Baptist Church Cemetery, with visitation 1 p.m. until 1:30 p.m. at Williams & Lord Funeral Home. The Rev. Lee Sudduth officiated.
Mrs. Woolard was born Aug. 19, 1936, in Carroll County, Miss., to Arthur Mims Sr. and Charlie Mae Goss Mims. She was a graduate of J.Z. George High School and lived in Washington, N.C., from 1972 to 2012 when she moved to Greenwood. She worked for Fincher Hardware and retired from Belk department store after 24 years of service.
She is survived by her brother, Arthur Mims Jr. of Carrollton, Miss.; sister, Mary Kimble of Greenwood, Miss.; and several nieces and nephews.
