Mary Jane Barrentine, 80, of Columbus, formerly of Kilmichael, died in Columbus on Saturday, April 6.
Visitation was from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m., Monday, April 8, at Oliver Funeral Home and services were held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, April 9, at Poplar Springs Baptist Church near Kilmichael. Burial followed in the church cemetery. Rev. Brad Herod officiated the services.
Mrs. Barrentine was born to Robert and Florence Ezell Cohee on June 16, 1938. She was a homemaker and a Methodist. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Barrentine was preceded in death by her husband, Harvey Kermit Barrentine, and her sister, Bobbie Cohee James.
Mrs. Barrentine is survived by her daughter, Lisa Barrentine Rivers (Jimmy) of Columbus; and her sister, May Bell May (John) of Grenada.
Pallbearers were Richard Barrentine, John May, Robert Ezell, Abel Ezell, and Steve Ables.
