Mary Ethel Morgan Duggins, 81, of Carroll County, Miss., died at home on Wednesday, June 21, 2023, surrounded by her family. Graveside services were 2 p.m. Sunday, June 25, 2023, in Valley Hill Methodist Church Cemetery with visitation 1:30 p.m. until service time in the cemetery. Bro. Howard Beam officiated.
She was born April 17, 1942, to James Dudley Morgan Sr. and Florence Baglan Morgan. She was a member of Valley Hill Baptist Church and attended Centerville Baptist Church. She had been employed at Hickok Supreme Electronics as a factory worker for many years. She enjoyed spending time with family, working around the house, walking, and listening to gospel music. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold McEachern Duggins; brothers, James Dudley Morgan Jr., Billy Morgan and Charles Morgan; sisters, Carolyn Little, and Josephine Gross; and her parents.
She is survived by her daughter, JoAnn Duggins Chatham and her husband Doug of Carroll County; sister, Florence Morgan Geoghagan and husband Gregg of Greenwood; grandson, Shane Douglas Chatham and wife Hannah of Carroll County; granddaughter, Sheyenne Dakota Chatham of Carroll County; and six great-grandchildren, Layton Chatham, Clay Chatham, JoAnna Chatham, Remie Chatham, Brantley Tharp, and Evie Tharp.
Pallbearers were Shane Chatham, Doug Chatham, Brannon Fisher, Earl Smith, J.R. Taylor and Chris Stokes. The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Accent Care Home Health and Hospice for the excellent care she received from them.
