Martha T. Bailey, 92, of Winona died at Vaiden Community Living Center in Vaiden on Wednesday, June 26, 2019.
Visitation was Saturday, from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. at Oliver Funeral Home and services were held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 29, at First Baptist Church in Winona and burial following in the Winona Garden of Memory. Rev. Sam Riddell officiated the services.
Mrs. Bailey was born in Holmes County on January 6, 1927, to Robroy and Ida Mae Kyzer Truitt; and the widow of the late Hugh Lee Bailey. She was a retired realtor and legal secretary and was nominated many times for the Businesswoman of the Year for the City of Winona.
Mrs. Bailey was a member of First Baptist Church in Winona, where she taught Sunday School and Church Training, was a choir member, and served on the Outreach Committee and Finance Committee. She also served as the chairman of the Montgomery-Carroll Baptist Association Week of Prayer.
She is survived by her daughter, Jerolyn Jernigan (Bobby) of Madison; her sons, Lee Bailey (Sherrye) of Winona and Ricky Bailey (Alane) of Tuscaloosa, Alabama; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Bobby Jernigan, Bubba Gross, Wells Lyon, Bailey Lyon, Griffin Lyon, and Mike Clark.
