Funeral services for Mark Lamar Bowie, 63, of Greenwood, formerly of Kilmichael, were held at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 29, in the Oliver Funeral Home Chapel, with burial following in the Friendship Cemetery in Kilmichael. Rev. Calvin Collins officiated the services.
Visitation was at the funeral home on Tuesday, from 1:00 p.m. until service time.
Mr. Bowie, a respiratory therapist, died at Winona Manor in Winona on Thursday, May 24. He was born in Winona on January 16, 1955, to Thomas D. and Margie Mitchell Bowie, both of whom preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife, Sharon S. Bowie of Grenada; son,
Cheyenne Bowie (Misty) of Kosciusko; stepson, Brian Sumrall of Grenada; sisters, Karen Bowie Valentine of Carthage and Charlotte Bowie Rinehart of Las Vegas, Nevada; brother, Thomas D. "Bud" Bowie Jr. of Winona; and three grandchildren, Carson Bowie, Marlee Musselwhite, and Taylor Musselwhite.
