Linda Kay Moran Rickels

Linda Kay Moran Rickels, 61, of Carrollton, died Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2019 at her residence.

Visitation was from 11 a.m. until service time at 1 p.m. Friday, Jan. 4, 2019 at Williams and Lord Funeral Home. Burial followed in Evergreen Cemetery. Williams & Lord Funeral Home was charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Rickels was born to Howard Moran and Mary Harmon Moran on Sept. 19, 1957 in Bossier City, La., She retired from Mississippi State Department of Corrections as warehouse manager. She was of the Baptist faith. She collected angels and loved babies and animals.

 She was preceded in death by her husband of 41 years, David Clark Rickels, brother, Howard Marshall Moran and step-father, Charles Mack Carroll.

She is survived by her son, James Rickels and wife Deanna of Carrollton; two daughters, Lisa Lehnerer and husband Gerhard of Starkville and Davina Jackson and husband Andrew of Gore Springs; two sisters, Emma Carol Parker and husband Dale of Pearl and Christi Hamilton and husband Kori of Greenville; brother, Garry Moran and wife Brenda of Richland; mother, Mary Harmon Carroll of Carrollton; seven grandchildren with one expected in May, and one great-grandchild.

Pallbearers will be Tim Pritchard, William Martin, Robert Pridgen, Joshua Wiggins, Ray Harmon, and Destry Harmon.
