Karen Ann Grantham Nelms, 66, of Stewart passed away Sunday, July 19, at Grenada Health and Rehab.
Visitation was on Tuesday, July 21, from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m., at Oliver Funeral Home. Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, July 22, in the Oliver Funeral Home Chapel, with Father Kim officiating. Burial was in the New Hope Cemetery near Coila.
Mrs. Nelms was a disabled licensed practical nurse and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star in Winona.
She is preceded in death by her Mother, Rita Ann Grantham;and stepson James F. Nelms III.
Mrs. Nelms is survived by her husband, James F. Nelms, Jr. of Stewart; father, Armon G. Grantham and stepmother, Venice Grantham, of San Antonio, Texas; one daughter, Tara Fortner of Stewart; one son, Marc A. Woods of Stewart; two brothers, Richard A. Grantham of Hanover, MD, and Andy "Fish" Grantham of Wimberley, Texas; one stepbrother, Alynn Grantham of San Antonio, Texas; one stepsister, Shannon Brown of Bulberde, TX; two grandchildren, Harley Nelms and Ellen Nelms and two great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were David Tidwell, Richard Stoker, Harley Nelms, Richard Granthem, Andy Grantham, and Joe Thompson.
