Graveside services for Juanita Myers will be held Friday, November 10, 2017 10:00 AM in Centerville Baptist Cemetery in Carroll County.
Ms. Myers, age 89, died on Monday, November 6, 2017 at Allegiance Specialty Hospital in Greenville. She was born on December 1, 1927 in Charleston, MS, to the late Adam J Verrett and Ella M. Rawlins. She was a member of The Salvation Army Church and worked as a nurse’s aid for Greenwood Leflore Hospital and Golden Age Nursing Home for a number of years. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Noel Myers; son, Wilson Myers; daughter, Donna Faye Myers; two grandchildren, Melissa Steinmetz and Teresa Little; and several brothers and sisters.
She is survived by two daughters, Linda Little of Greenwood and Laura Peacock of Greenwood; one son, Harold Roger Dale Myers of Greenwood; two sisters, Daisy Verrett of Ohio, and Lena Mae Colledge of La.; six grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Thursday, November 9, 2017 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Rev. Lanny Haley will officiate the services. Pallbearers will be Tracy Myers, Marshall Myers, Adrian Peacock, Brandon Peacock, Mark Page, and Jerry Haley. Honorary Pallbearer will be George Henson.
