Mrs. Joan Doster Hawkins of Winona passed away at Winona Manor in Winona on Friday, May 29, 2020. She was born on July 2, 1936, and was 83 years old.
A visitation was held on Monday, June 1, from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m., at Oliver Funeral Home and a graveside service followed at Bethlehem Baptist Cemetery near Kilmichael. Rev. Richard Kelly officiated the service.
Mrs. Hawkins was a retired hotel clerk for Relax Inn of Winona and a member of North Winona Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her parents, John Carter Doster and Dorothy Louise Wilson Doster Shackael; husband, Wilburn Herbert Hawkins; son, Randy Hawkins; and a grandson, Daniel W. Fox.
Mrs. Hawkins is survived by her daughter, Sandra Hawkins Fox of McCarley; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Allen Fox, Jamie Mims, Anthony Bammer, John Montgomery, James Fowler, and Stevie Hathcock.
