Services for Janet Chaney will be held Friday, February 9, 2018, at 12:30 p.m. at Mt Pisgah Baptist Cemetery in Carroll County.
Ms. Chaney, 57, died on Saturday, February 3, 2018, at Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg.
She was born on September 15, 1960 in Attala County to the late James and Betty McCarty Gunter. She grew up in Greenwood and attended Greenwood High School. She was of the Baptist faith. She dedicated more than 25 years to Greenwood Leflore Hospital, where she worked until her retirement. She loved animals and her family very dearly and will be missed. She is preceded in death by her parents, and husband of 24 years, Jimmy Chaney.
She is survived by two daughters, Amy Brower of Oxford and Danyelle Chaney of Tupelo; husband, Tim Roberson of Courtland; three sisters, Kathy Harris of Carrollton, Vickie Robertson of Greenwood, and Patricia Gunter of Jackson; and two grandchildren, Trey Brower of Oxford and Bella Brower of Oxford.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 9, 2018, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Williams & Lord Funeral Home in Greenwood. Rev. Lanny Haley will officiate the services. Pallbearers will be friends of the family. Burial will be in Mt Pisgah Cemetery.
