James Marvin Bailey, Jr., 59, of Carrollton, died Saturday, Dec. 29, 2018 at his residence.
Visitation will be 1 p.m. until service time at 2 p.m. on Thursday, January 3, 2019 at Williams & Lord Funeral Home. Rev. Lanny Haley will officiate the services. Williams & Lord is in charge of arrangements.
He was born June 2, 1959 in Greenwood to James Marvin Bailey, Sr. and Alice Olivia Parker. He attended Greenwood High School and worked for Upchurch Plumbing for over 20 years, later starting his own business, Bailey’s Digging Service. He enjoyed fishing and hunting. He served as a pastor at Lighthouse Church of God in Coffeeville and attended Greenwood Church of God.
Mr. Bailey was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his son, James Bailey III of Carrollton; daughter, Samantha Bailey of Greenwood; brother, Bill Bailey of Oxford; sister, Elaine Ricks of Carrollton; and five grandchildren, Bailey Conjulusa, Dylan Bailey, John Brody Bailey, Ayden Bailey, and Addison Elliott.
