James Jackson, Sr. 87, died on Monday, November 12, 2018 at his residence in Greenwood.
Visitation was held from 11 a.m. until service began at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2018 at Williams & Lord Funeral Home. Rev. Jerry McNeer officiated the service and burial followed in Mount Pisgah Cemetery in Carroll County.
Mr. Jackson was born to Andrew and Eula Underwood Jackson on Aug. 4, 1931 in Merigold and lived in Greenwood all his life. He was a member of Mount Olive Baptist Church and was a retired rancher and employee of Leflore Steel in Greenwood for 15 years. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather.
He is survived by his wife, Lenna Ingram Jackson and son, Arthur Jackson, Jr. both of Greenwood; daughters, Pam Zwerschke of Batesville and Debbie Milligan of Trenten, Tenn.; brother, Bryan Jackson of Avalon; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Clayton Zwerschke, Scott Jackson, Bart Jackson, Michael Milligan, Allen Jackson, and Donnie Cleveland. Honorary Pallbearers will be Jerry Walls, Dr. Michael Boler, and Bill Billingleys.
