Funeral services for George Moore of Duck Hill were held on Saturday, March 31, 2018 at St. John M.B. Church near Winona at 3 p.m., with Rev. J.C. Stokes officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery.
Visitation was held from 1 p.m. until 6 p.m. on Friday, March 30 at Sanders and Sanders Funeral Home in Winona, and from 1:30 p.m. until service time at the church. There was no viewing after the eulogy.
Mr. Moore, 66, died Saturday, March 31, 2018, at his home in Duck Hill. A machine operator, he was a member of St. John M.B. Church.
He is survived by his wife, Jeanette Moore of Duck Hill; daughters, Daphaine Moore-Blakes of Horn Lake and Barbara Blakes of Winona; sons, Michael Moore of Batesville and Deonne Moore of Shawnee, Okla.; sisters, Tessie Ford, Lillie Harvey, Dicey Davis, all of Grenada, Maxine Moore of Duck Hill, and Stephanie Moore of Jackson; brothers, Lee Moore of Duck Hill, Derreall Moore, Willie B. Moore, both of Grenada, and Alvin Sanders of Cruger; and four grandchildren.
