Memorial services for Frederick M. "Rick" Howard, of Winona, will be Saturday, March 31 at 11 a.m. at Poplar Creek Nations Baptist Church near Kilmichael.
Rick Howard, 75, passed away at his home on Sunday, March 25, 2018. He was born on April 27, 1942, to Orrin M. and Lorraine V. Howard in Trenton, N.J. He worked as a truck driver for Hankins Lumber Company and served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the American Legion and was known by many as "Slick Rick", his CB handle.
Mr. Howard is survived by his wife, Lady Carol Yates Howard of Winona; daughter, Schelle Slater of Elmira Heights, N.Y.; two sons, Bryan Howard of Dewittville, N.Y., and Frederick "Derf"; Howard II of Elmira Heights, N.Y.; sister, Sharon Burpee of Watkins Glen, N.Y.; two brothers, Terry Howard of Winona and Robert Howard of White Fish, Mont.; two step-daughters, Melissa Blaylock of Kilmichael and Tinkerbell Lindsey of Winona; 13 grandchildren; eight grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
